1999 We Relocate to Berkeley, CA

In January 1999, the school relocated to Berkeley, California in order to provide its students with a higher quality facility and a better educational environment.

A Fresh Start

In 2002, Dr. Shuji Goto assumed an appointment as a chairman of the board for the MCOM. In April 2003 the name of the school was changed to Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley (AIMC, Berkeley) and new management has started under the new chairman’s leadership.

Even Better Programs

In 2017 we launched a new Master’s curriculum that improved and streamlined the program so that it could be completed in 10 terms, or a little over 3 years.  The first Professional Doctorate degree launched in 2019, offering students an opportunity to advance their knowledge and clinical practice.

2021-24 AIMC with Friends

In 2021, the pandemic irrevocably reshaped the landscape of education. Distance education measures launched in response to the pandemic yielded a clear opportunity in hybrid education and opened a whole new world of connection. In spring of 2024, AIMC went from AIMC, Berkeley to just AIMC as a whole: Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, a graduate school with two locations, Berkeley and now Austin.
