Our Programs
Masters Program
Designed for future acupuncturists who want to practice acupuncture and integrative medicine, this program is the fastest route to getting your license. This 10 term program can be completed in as little as three and a half years. Coursework includes online didactic learning, hands-on practical education, and clinical internship hours. Areas of Study Include: East Asian Medicine Theory Acupuncture East Asian Herbal Medicine Western Biomedicine Integrative Medicine Professional Practice.
Dual Degree Program
Current masters program students are able to achieve both their masters and doctoral degrees concurrently in 12 terms described above. But what about those who already have their license? The doctoral completion program is designed for students who are already in the field working full-time who want to take their practice and their expertise to the next level.
Doctoral Program
Designed for future acupuncturists who want to use the full scope of practice allowed under their license. This 12 term program can be completed in as little as four years. This program includes all Master’s degree content, plus doctoral level competencies, such as advanced integrative collaborative care for complex diseases, advanced orthopedics and pain management, and a doctoral research project.
Doctoral Completion Track
The completion track option is open to graduates of ACAHM accredited masters programs who are looking to attain a doctoral level degree and advance their knowledge of integrative, collaborative care.

The minimum education requirements of 60-semester units (equivalent to 90 quarter units) of undergraduate work from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Doctoral Program
12 Trimesters

Doctoral program applicants must have:

High school diploma or GED. AIMC Berkeley does not accept ability-to-benefit (ATB).

The minimum education requirements of 90-semester units (equivalent to 135 quarter units) of undergraduate work from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must also be in good academic standing.
Doctoral Completion

Doctoral completion applicants must have:

A Master’s degree equivalent to AIMC’s MSTAM. Most California-board approved programs grant Master’s degrees equivalent to AIMC Berkeley’s.

The minimum education requirements of 90-semester units (equivalent to 135 quarter units) of undergraduate work from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must also be in good academic standing.
