Job Summary We are seeking a skilled, compassionate and team-oriented Acupuncturist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, a deep understanding of acupuncture techniques and principles, feel confortable prescribing Chinese herbal formula's and supplements, and teaching patients at home exercises & stretching, and lifestyle medicine. This role involves assessing patients' needs, developing both in office and at home treatment plans, and providing high-quality, patient centered care to promote overall wellness. Job Description Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual treatment needs. Develop personalized acupuncture treatment plans based on patient evaluations. Develop personalized at home treatment plans to assist the patient in long term health goals. Administer acupuncture, electric acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and moxabustion treatments Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and the benefits of acupuncture. Provide education about lifestyle changes that can improve their condition and the benefits of making lifestyle changes, such as: dietary, stress maangement, healthy sleep habits and daily movement. Utilize trigger point therapy as needed to address specific pain points or discomfort. Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment notes and progress updates. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on advancements in acupuncture techniques, chinese herbal medicines, healthcare & acupuncture practices and laws for the state of California. Requirements Requirements Valid California license in Acupuncture. Valid Diploma from an accredited institution. CPR Certification. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to acupuncture practices. Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to the field of acupuncture. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patience, empathy, compassion, and communication. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans. Ability to stay on time and see up to 3 patients an hour. Ability to complete soap notes on time and thoroughly. Preferred: Open to working in Alameda & Livermore locations Experience with Jane App Experience working with Dropbox Experience with trigger point therapy is a plus but not mandatory.
