Acupuncture School Medical Qigong Therapy StudentMedical Qigong Practitioner Training

For many years, I had been working to heal environmental and social wounds through community and global activism. But there seemed to be something missing. I questioned, "How can we heal the wounds of the planet without addressing our own internal wounds?" I began searching my soul to find my true path in life.

I quickly discovered the amazing realm of Chinese medicine. I knew that this was a powerful way to find healing on many levels. But was this my calling?

Then, one day I walked by the school and noticed a large sign flapping in the wind announcing the start of a Medical Qigong program. I wasted no time in calling the school to find out more. The wonderful administrative staff told me that the program started next week. Next week? I had been searching for this program for years, but how could I start next week? I did not have a clear plan of action as to how I could begin this journey on such short notice. However, I knew for certain that this was where I had to be—learning Medical Qigong at AIMC Berkeley.

My favorite school experience was working in the Student Clinic. It provided me an excellent opportunity to hone my skills and to get to know my instructor better. It also provided the patient a safe place in which to be treated by someone that was still learning.

My personal growth throughout the program helped me to become more confident about my role as a healer. I learned first-hand that as we heal ourselves, we become empowered to create the world in which we wish to live.

Thank you AIMC Berkeley for opening yet another door on my personal journey through life.
