Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley is launching a new 500-hour medical qigong certification program that begins October 16-20. The new program, which qualifies participants to sit for the NCCAOM Asian Bodywork Therapy exam, will be taught by Dr. Suzanne Friedman, who developed AIMC Berkeley's popular 200-hour qigong certification program. Friedman is a nationally renowned qigong master, Doctor of Medical Qigong specializing in oncology, and author of Medical Qigong Exercise Prescriptions and The Yijing Medical Qigong System. The one-of-kind program takes a unique Daoist literary tradition approach, training scholar-practitioners with the words of the classics. The program is made up of eight five-day, Thursday-Monday modules. Licensed acupuncturists and acupuncture students qualify for NCCAOM Asian bodywork certification with Modules 1 and 4-7. For more information, call Sara Szmodis, AIMC Berkeley CEU & Events Director, 510-666-8248 x106, email sszmodis@aimc.edu, or visit AIMC.edu.
