  1. Sixty or more (60+) semester units of undergraduate work (90+ quarter units) completed at a governmentally approved secondary education institution.

  2. 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA)

  3. English language proficiency: non-native speakers must provide proof of language proficiency in the form of TOEFL results or a diploma/degree from an English-only institution. AIMC Berkeley TOEFL institution code is 8482


AIMC Berkeley Basic Science Requirements

The basic science requirements (BSR) include a total of 14+ units in the following subjects: biology (3–5 units), chemistry (3–5 units), psychology (3 units), and physics (3 units); biology and chemistry must meet a combined total of eight (8) units.

You must complete the chemistry, biology, and psychology components within the first calendar year of your master's program, and the physics component by the end of the second calendar year. You may complete your basic science requirement (BSR) courses by a combination of three methods: transferring in your completed units, using the Progressive Start Option; or completing BSR courses simultaneously with the Standard Program timetable. We recommend that you complete these  courses prior to beginning any full-load schedule in our Standard Program.
