Online Application Information

Completing the online application entails uploading the following items (NOTE: once you’ve started your application, you can save your work and complete it in stages):

Application Checklist

All documents must be in .doc or .pdf formats

  1. Resumé or Curriculum Vitae outlining your educational and professional background
  2. A 500-word essay on the following topic: Describe the path that led you to choose Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine as a profession
  3. Application for Financial Aid, if applicable
  4. A head shot
  5. Tuberculosis test results (See testing sites and additional information below.)
  • If negative, no further documentation is required.
  • If positive, a chest x-ray is required.

Documents to be submitted directly to AIMC Berkeley from the appropriate parties. Documents submitted via email must be in .doc or .pdf formats:

  1. Official college transcripts from all schools attended prior to AIMC Berkeley
  2. Two recommendation letters that speak to your educational ability, professionalism, compassion, maturity, and ability to successfully complete the master’s program and become a successful practitioner. Letters of recommendation can be from professional, educational, or personal contacts, but we cannot accept letters from your relatives or friends.

Additional required documents for International Applicants:

  1. International credential evaluation (use eres.com).
  2. Documentation of English language proficiency (transcript from English language college or TOEFL results).

Once all items have been received, you will be contacted to schedule an on-campus interview with a member of the Admissions team. Skype and phone interviews can be arranged if an on-campus interview is not possible.

Please be aware that, your application will only be considered complete when all documents, including application fee,  have been received. Once complete, you will be contacted to schedule an on-campus interview with a member of the Admissions Committee prior to being admitted. Skype™ or telephone interviews can be arranged if an on-campus interview is not possible.
